COME AND SEE!

Exploring the Christian Faith

What is Alpha?

Are you, or anyone you know curious to know more about the Christian faith? Wondering what life is all about or asking ‘Is this all there is to life?

Please join us on Thursday evenings in the Church Centre, where we explore these questions and discuss topics like:

  • Why did Jesus die?

  • Why pray?

  • Why read the Bible? and

  • Who is the Holy Spirit and what does the Holy Spirit do?

All are welcome, it’s a chance to explore the questions of life and faith.

When does Alpha meet?

Alpha will run on Thursday (6:30pm - 8:30pm)
from 5th March to 21st May 2026

Register by completing the form below, or register on the Alpha website (Alpha.org) if you are interested in attending.

What happens at the meetings?

We watch a half hour DVD on a topic such as

  • 'Who is Jesus?'

  • 'How and Why should I read the Bible?'

  • 'Does God heal today?'

  • Sessions on prayer, the Holy Spirit, suffering, and church.

We’ll start with a light supper at 6.30pm and finish by 8.30pm

It’s all free, informal and everyone is welcome.

Who is Alpha for?

Join a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. At each Alpha session, you’ll be hosted in a small group and watch an episode on a different question of faith - then you have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like, or nothing at all.

Some of us were already church members before we did Alpha but it has deepened our faith and led to a better relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit: some who come have no faith or very little knowledge.
