GIVING TO KPC

Giving to the Kirk

We are all encouraged to serve the Church by giving – giving our time, our talents and abilities, and giving financially. Without each of these the Church cannot fulfil its key purposes – to share the Gospel, the ‘good news’ of Jesus Christ, and to serve the local community.

Visit the Join in section of this website to read of the many and varied ways Kirk members serve by giving their time and talents. All of these activities need both volunteers and finances to run.

You can support this work practically by volunteering to help, and/or financially - either by regular giving, or by one-off donations.

MONETARY GIFTS

The most efficient way to give financially, either by setting up a regular Standing Order, or to make a single gift, is by internet banking. The Kirk’s bank account details are:

A/C name: Kirkliston Parish Church

Sort code: 83-28-37

Account N°: 00185079

DIRECTED GIVING

If you wish to give to support the work of our Children & Families Worker or our Youth Worker, please add ‘Children’ or ‘Youth’ in the reference, and we will ensure your gift is used for that purpose.

You can also give by placing cash or a cheque (to Kirkliston Parish Church) in the plate as you arrive for a Sunday service, as we do not take up an offering during a service. You may wish to ask for a set of WFO (Weekly Freewill Offering) envelopes, put your cash or cheque in one of these and place it in the plate as you arrive.

GIFT AID

If you are a tax-payer, then you can choose to ‘gift aid’ your gift, which means that as a Scottish charity we can claim 25% of the value of your gift from the UK Government, at no extra cost to you.

The amount of Gift Aid we can claim each year is a significant and valuable addition to our income, so if you pay tax please do register for Gift Aid by downloading and completing our Gift aid form then give the completed form to our Treasurer (see Kirk – Team page).

If you have any questions about Kirk finances, or about WFO, Gift Aid etc., please contact our Treasurer using the link below.
